About Us

Established on 25 June 2005, Fishingnewsroom (FNR) is a non-profit organization that funds and runs an online platform for fishing enthusiasts to share their knowledge and experiences, with a primary objective to educate anglers.

The website runs under a dedicated server based in Singapore, with modifications to the subVeror template powered by phpBB groups.

Under strict rules implemented by the founders - Alan Chan (Chief Operational Administrator) and bAn_zAi (Chief Technology Administrator) - FNR has grown to become an informative site with quality and constructive articles posted by many contributing members.

In Jun 2007, two years after establishment, FNR celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a gathering cum fishing competition held at Singapore's famous Bedok Jetty. With great effort put in by the moderating team and many quality forum members, the event was a success, and it marks a milestone in FNR's achievements to date.
