Hi Guys.. My Recent Catch Report At Marsiling Jetty =) I And My Frens plan to go fishing at punggol end . last minute , the plan was cancel . so i and my fren were bored and planned to go fishing at marsiling jetty as masiling jetty is jus behind my block . we went to sheng siong to get some live prawn but the live prawn was already kept in the ice so we said we take the dead but fresh prawn. we came home and packed our things . in a few minutes time ..... we went to MJT and casted ... on my 2nd cast while i was helping my fren out something put from the end of the line . so i ranned and strike .. i felt nothing when i striked ( as this was my first time catching big fishes ) so i thought it was gone .. suddenly the fish did a acrobatic jump ...we take photos of it and here it is Rod : Daiwa Krosace (Carbon) Reel : Shimano Sienna 4500 Line : Tomman 14lbs Leader : 30lbs Shock Leader Rig : Ibr_Midian ( Ac Bro Gave Me ) But Have To Cut The Rig Because Stuck Inside The Throst Sorry =) Nice Rig Bro Here Are Some Pics     Btw Guys Can Anyone Help Me Identify Wat Fish Is This?

Great Job... keep it UP !! your hard work has paid off.. If im not wrong that is a mangrove jack... very common in pond and VERy very nice to eat.. our side as usual nothing caught .. just lots of jokes and ha ha he hes... from changi tanjong, to pjt . just reach home...

and i have to agreed. 3 - 4 kg is abit too much.. 1 - 2 more likely. caught a few 3 weeks ago at prmp
but nothing beats a Wild ONE !!

Bro , Better Tell abg IBR Rahim, I know you meant to say that the fish feels like it weighs like 3-4kg to you and that, it is not actually 3-4kg. Please guys, there is no need to smack this is a very young angler as he is not used to estimating fish weights and given that he is only small built n only 14year old. Rahim, my suggestion is to go get a weighing scale and weigh your catches to be accurate brother. Especially if you are going to post weight information in your post in the future. Or else, ask the kaki's here to help you estimate it. But do not be concern with distance for surf. Sometimes, its not how far you cast but whether you are casting to reach the fish zone or else you will be over casting. I'm heading to CP 7 tomorrow if the sea weed condition has stabilised.

yim, sorry to disturb ur thread, but it may benefit you too. my father saw a guy got a nice size ikan tebal pipi at mjt. he used wat wat lipan as bait dug up at that area too. also in some of the thread in here about mjt is TT says mjt nearby to the causeway has big kurau, its being confirm by ahgirl.. wanna try???
