Uh guys/girls....sorry to disappoint but that's DEFINITELY not a Mangrove Jack.
Body shape and features look like Ang Kuey..colouration looks like a discoloured Ang Cho.
My bet would be on a discoloured Ang Kuey due to the less than desirable water conditions of Ubin. Maybe an escapee from the fish farms around the area.
A good catch all the same.
Confirm guarantee plus 2 chop not a MJ.

Me too thinking the same way as u all..that doesnt look like MJ...some snapper species..this is a MJ for reference..

i tot it was golden snapper, but ppl in ubin say mangrove jack? but cannot b AK cos no signs of 'redness' ang cho maye can? any1 can confirm?
