Stingrays basically feeds on anything when they are looking for food, i caught on seaworms, live/dead prawns, live/dead tamban, dead sotong.
Beware when u haul up 1 of its tail somewhere midsection of the tail, look out for its thorn which is poisonous, chop off the tail OR pluck out the thorn while stepping on its tail. It can be deadly if u get poked by its thorn.

thanks, erm, any places for suggestion? I Heard of one which is bedok jetty, should I try casting my line on the jetty, on instead and the sand of the beach there. And also, cast out far or any more targetted place?

At BJT some anglers have landed stingray before. A couple of anglers brought up the stingray weighing about 8kg each on different occasion. One angler uses dead tamban, and another uses pasir pasir. Goes onto the end of the jetty and cast from there, these is what those anglers who caught the stingray do. Gd luck.

I used to fish for them when lived in the south.Normally I used whole sardine,
if you cant get them try skipjack tuna.fillet it in chunk.I never use small piece of bait.
small fish will finished them b4 the ray.I sew them with 5/0 hook.Dont worry...the ray
will swallow them all.Need heavy tackle for them though. If they dug themself under the sand
which they will most of the time, just release your reel drag n wait.Dont put pressure on them.
wait till they resurface n fight them quickest possible. When you retrieve the hook, please b careful. They can flip their spike even after you turn then over.I experience once...haha.
Remember for life!!!Yes if you use whole fish, dont forget to slice them so the juice
will attract them faster.Change bait regulary. My personal record was a 26 kg in 11 mins
with Spiderwire bass rod.Caught from shore in water less than 3 feet.
