Symmes Township collide: 38-year-old man dead

On Friday night, a fatal two-vehicle crash occurred in Symmes Township resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 68-year-old man was driving a 2020 Cadillac CTS and attempting to turn left onto westbound I-275 when the incident occurred.

The victim, identified as John Rugh, was driving his 2002 Ford GT40 kit car southbound on Loveland-Madeira Road when the collision happened at the intersection with the on/ramps to westbound I-275. Rugh became trapped in his vehicle and had to be mechanically extracted before being transported to Bethesda North Hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The 68-year-old driver was also transported to Bethesda North Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
